Intriguing halftone line pattern

Hi there

I know it’s quite a bit to ask, but would it be possible for you to demonstrate the process, maybe with a simple before and after example?

I’ve been experimenting with blending shapes and lines in various ways, but the results still feel too organized, symmetrical, and rigid.  I suspect I may be overcomplicating things on my end while it might be much easier for someone more familiar.

The biggest part I’m struggling with is the "halftone" like transition. In the references , the bottom areas start as dense shapes almost like in halftone with very small openings, and as the gradient lightens, the spacing increases and orientation shifts to radial. When you zoom in, there are subtle deviations: some elements suddenly curve toward a center point, then rotate outward again. It’s organic.

If you have any insight into how to achieve that, I would really appreciate it. I’m trying to understand the logic behind those directional changes, not just replicate the effect.
