Invalid File Format on a Roland VR-50HD

Hello all. This is probably a simple question for you guys, but I'm a total novice with Illustrator and especially at video formatting. This is for a live stream. I'm trying to simply add a still image to a Roland VR-50HD video switcher. According to everything I read online, including YouTube videos, I need to create a bmp file and it ought to work, but it doesn't. I keep getting an Invalid FIle Format message. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I tried to post the bmp, but it isn't a supported format here. I'd really appreciate any ideas.

What are the EXACT image dimensions (width and height in pixels)? DO NOT READ THIS INFO IN ILLUSTRATOR. Use a bitmap editor to check these numbers. Don't guess or assume, saving bitmaps with exact sizes fom Illustrator can have some surprises.

Okay. I think I might have it at the correct size. I'll test it out this weekend in the studio. Thanks.
