invisible anchor points !!!

All of a sudden, while I was working, the anchor points with the "direct selection" tool stopped being visible. They are not visible when selecting the object, selecting a single anchor point, selecting multiple anchor points, selecting multiple anchor points with an area selection, or selecting the path.

Thinking it might be an issue with the version I was using, I installed the latest version, but the problem reappeared. I then installed version 29.0, but the issue persists.

How can I fix this? It’s impossible to work in such conditions, and it’s unacceptable for bugs like this to occur.

I can’t verify it anymore because, after reporting the bug, I found out that it only occurred in the file I was using. When I created a new file, the anchor points started working correctly. Thanks for the advice anyway... I’m leaving the report because it’s not right for functions to suddenly stop working in a file.

Show and hide edges is a document specific setting. So it could have happened that you hide them in one file and show them in another.
