Is there still no way to have seperate brush stroke sizes in the same doc?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Different stroke sizes can be applied to different objects in the same document, be it a basic stroke, an art brush or calligraphic brush. In the iPad version of Illustrator the brush stroke sizes can be adjusted in the Properties fly-out menu.

Sorry, I meant to include, "with the Pen tool."

And I think this is just an iPad problem.

If a line is drawn with the "Pen" tool in say, 3 pt. And then a seperate line is drawn (even on another layer) and I change the brush stroke size to say 5 pt. the original object i drew's line changes size too. I've included a video.

I can't seem to repeat that behavior. Only the objects included in a selection will show stroke width changes when those are applied in the Properties menu or the floating tool bar below the selection.
