iPad Pro crashing with illustrator

I'm opening a new board and then as soon as I click a tool it closes the whole app. What is happening!? I've already checked updates and what not.

from what i have read, illustrator for ipad doesn't work with os17.

Did you also already turn off the Apple Pencil effects in the system?
