Is CS 5.1 incompatible with OS 10.10.5 Yosemite? Illustrator keeps crashing on me. I'd like to avoid upgrading my Adobe Suite, but if I have to, I will. Any recommendations? If I KNEW there were incompatibilites, then I would know the problem is NOT my mac. Thanks in advance!

For some it works, for some it doesn't.

It has never been fully tested, so nobody can say for sure if it's supposed to run.

Do the crashes keep you from working?

Or does it just crash on quit or similar occasions?

Thank you, Monika. It crashes sometimes when I save, sometimes when I am just working. My Mac has been restarting on it's own as well. This usually happens very unexpectedly, even while using Mac software like iMovie. I almost always have my Adobe software launched even when problems occurr, so I am just trying to figure out it the "quick fix" to my overall problems could be that I need to upgrade my Adobe software, or it the problems are elsewhere.

When your Mac does this with other software as well:

    - check the hardware, especially the disk, but also RAM

    - check your permissions

    - create a new user folder with Admin privileges and try using that one
