Is it possible to get a path from a font like this?

So I feel like I've done this before and I can't remember how. But is it possible to get an inside path from a font? I know how to outline a font but is there any way to get a path as if the font ittself is only one path?

It's not a really easy process, but I'll often use object blends to create center line paths and effects on letters. The process involves breaking apart portions of the letters and then creating single step blends down the middle of the two facing path segments. Usually one of the path segments needs to have its direction reversed to made the new path fall properly fall down the middle of the letter stroke.

Typefaces that have more hand-drawn or brushed appearances don't require exact results. The blend process wouldn't really be necessary; it would be good enough to just hand-draw a new centerline path.

The long answer is no.

There are 2 approaches, but with. both, you would need to adjust afterwards in a way that you are probably faster when you just draw it.
