Is it possible to make -360º twist in 3D panel?

Good afternoon,

I was exploring the 3D paenl, and put a 360º twist on an object. I was elated, and designed a proof of concept for a threaded object. Hubby, aka Mr. Grumpy, spoiled my fun. He said the twist was backwards, making the object lefty-tighty/righty-loosey. I thought I could fix that with a negative twist on the object. The panel did not want to give a negative twist. A web search said it should be possible. I have great ideas for 3D prints, and they are foiled by the twist.

Issue solved, Creality slicer did the trick. But would like to see this as a feature.

Thank you for reaching out. In addition to our expert's suggestion, would you mind submitting the request on the Uservoice page and sharing the link with us here for tracking purposes?

Thanks,

Tried that, failed hard, do I need a separate password to post at uservoice?

@creative explorer Classic 3D does not have a Twist function.

Try adding a Transform effect with Reflect X checked:

@active_care01AC I would think the 3D (Classic) - Extrude & Bevel is more useful and handles negative rotation values without any glitches. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/desktop/special-effects-styles/create-3d-graphics/3d-materials-panel-options.html Look for the "Extrude" section. It explains that Twist rotates the object's path around its center as it extrudes.
