Is there a chance to expand the text input field in the save as dialog?

the input field is pretty small. Even if I expand the dialog window, the text input field stays the same size.

Some of my clients need specific filenames which are pretty long and don't fit visibly in that field. So I have always use the mouse and cursor to get to the end of the filename in that field.

Any idea?
