Question

Is there a limit to the number of actions I can have or am I doing something wrong?

I use actions everyday at my job. Currently I have 15 actions saved that I use all the time. I have them all linked to the function keys. 11 of them use just a function key and 4 use shift + function. I have been trying to make a new action but I cannot get it to work at all. Its a simple action to round the corners of a rectangle to .05. I have a similar action that does the same thing but rounds them to .1. I made a graphic style for both and the action just places that graphic style on the rectangle. I've been using the .1 action for years now. I had orginally set the new action to use shift + f10, but it wouldn't work. I then tried shift +f9, f8 and still nothing. All of my other actions work perfectly and I've been using them for several years. The crazy thing is that I can highlight the action and press play from the action window and it works. Could it be the latest version of illustrator (27.2)?

Are you using a Mac?

If so you may need to go to system preferences and check the lower botton:

Is perhaps the system intercepting the function keys?

If none of the other actions assigned to function keys were working, I'd suspect that. All of my other actions work perfectly from the function keys. It's just this one. I went throught my keyboard shortcuts in illustrator but didn't see the combination of shift + f10 used for anything.
