Question

Is there a way to automatically create a gradient from swatch colors?

So, if you have 2 colors: you right click and the two colors show up at 0 and 100 position. (and maybe the pull down menu when you have the swatches selected?)

3 colors? 100, 50%, and 0%. i.e. evenly spaced automatically for you.

I'm looking for it to be able to do that since I don't want to math if I have say 10 colors, or 7 or 8. Pulling the color stoppers, etc can be painful and slow, but something like this would speed things up and make it easier to adjust and also bolster the usefulness of the swatches palette.

I think I should be able to select a folder and automatically create a gradient.

This BTW, would be far more useful than generative AI since I use the gradient tool often. Does something like this already exist in Illustrator?

there's a great script by mhulse that does what you need, check this thread for a link and how to use it

Ah, it should be native to illustrator, rather than a script. Which means it isn't native and I should put in an official request for it.
