Is there a way to use variables with multipage PDFs

Hello,

 

Does anyone know if you can use variables with multipage PDFs?

 

At the moment variables will only import single-page PDFs, but will not work with multipage ones?

    Hi there, using the latest version of illustrator on a mac and are trying to use variables to import a multipage PDF onto an artboard.

     

    I can use variables with single page PDFs with ease (i.e. @VARIABLE1 and then list the file name/path.) Then importing into illustrator using variables, this works fine. However, with multipage PDFs it will not import them.

     

    Do you know if there is a way to use Variables with multipage PDFs?
