Question

Is there any way to stop layer visibility from becoming part of the history?

I use a mac and started messing around with illustrator over a week ago so I havent paid much attention to the history changes as I didn't need it but now that I do, it's cumbersome..I mean anytime a layer is clicked on and off while in the proceess of editing and comparing etc.. it piles it in with the other history states and I see no option to change this setting, like there is in PS. I know there are workarounds.. custom views, hiding selections, add another artboard type of workarounds but I just find them overly tedious to clicking a Layer on and off but maybe i'm missing something, idk? Didnt know where I should post this but this spot seems good as any lol.

Hello @Morgan23828250fy7b,

Illustrator currently lacks this functionality. Would you mind creating a UserVoice for this feature request (https://adobe.ly/4bYOTRw) and adding your comments there? Doing this will help us prioritize this request, and you will be notified of any updates.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
