Hi,

Is there anyway to retrieve an unsaved Illustrator file? I closed the wrong one and have lost a days work!!

I stupidly closed the wrong tab. Am on a Mac and have no external hard drive. Autosave is set up for every 2 minutes but where do the files go?!

Any help would be appreciated.

    hmmm

you are rigth, nothing there to recover, looks like this works only when there is a crash and reopen the app.

There is a plugin for autosave from Astute graphics

    https://astutegraphics.com/software/autosaviourfree/

Good point to ask adobe for a feature request

Thanks, This is how mine is set up and I have found the folder & checked but there is nothing in there. It looks like I have learnt the hard way! In the future I will just make sure to check before I close a tab & will save everything! It's going to be a late night!

Adobe, please add a better autosave feature for muppets like me!

Unless you set it to go elsewhere, it is in the hidden files of your library Access hidden Mac OS library files
