Is there feasible to disable a menu item in illustrator

Hi All,

I am a newbie in illustrator scripting but have some knowledge in indesign scripting using javascript.

In Indesign we can disable menu item thru menuActions.. Is there any object available like that to disable a existing menu (eg. File>Save).
