Issue drawing with Pencil pro on IPAD M3

Hello,

I recently bought IPAD Air 13' M3 with pencil pro to draw with AI. 

Unfortunately when i;m using the pencil (the brush works fine) the line lags behind the pencil and after a while it also becomes wobbely. Any idea how to solve this issue (change in settings perhaps)?

IPADOS is 18.6

Illustrator version is 3.0.9

Document size is letter 612*792

brush settings: 1pt/thin and the rest are also default . (i can provide screenshots, if needed)

please let me know if there is anything i need to change/ do in order fo rthe pencil to draw properly.

Thanks for your patience. I have checked this with the product team and confirmed that this behavior is expected when drawing very long strokes. As a workaround, please try using multiple strokes to see if it helps.

I'm sorry to hear about the experience you're having with brush strokes in Illustrator. Could you confirm the version of Illustrator on the iPad/iPadOS installed, and if this happens with all brushes/files, along with a small screen recording of the problem (if possible), so I can better assist you?

Also, try resetting the brush settings to the defaults (https://adobe.ly/46DYjkO) and share your observations.

Hi

 

Thank you for the quick reply. The IPAD is brand new (3 weeks old) and fully updted with lastest software.

The AI was freshly installe 2 weeks ago.

Attched is a clip with the issue. Please note the issue becomes worse towards the end of the clip.  FYI- smoothness is set to 4 and if increased than it becomes even worse.

Thanks for sharing the details. Is all of your work synced online (https://adobe.ly/3HlgiSN)? If yes, try deleting Illustrator, restarting your device, and then reinstalling the app to see if it helps.
