Issue opening old file - Image Changed

I am having an issue opening our businesses logo files. I use them in illustrator on the weekly bases and never had an issue. Not sure if there was an update that is now affecting them. this is what it looks like.... It should be just a normal Black outline but for some reason the pig image is showing a box and opposate colors. ...

Thanks! I figured it out. It needed an image trace again, but for some reason it wasn't letting me in some settings. But I got it after a while! Thanks though!

Which version of Illustrator is it?

What file format was the pig image?

Does Edit > Edit Colors > Invert help?

 

Is it possible to Image Trace that pig?

Thanks! I figured it out. It needed an image trace again, but for some reason it wasn't letting me in some settings. But I got it after a while! Thanks though!

Update: It seems like the pig image is no longer a vector/outline... just a solid image? all the letters and "The Berkshire" portion of the logo are still in vector format. 

 

Sorry if none of that makes sense. I am decient with illustrator but by no means a professional graphic designer obviously.
