Hi Community,

I am having an issue with Adobe Illustrator, just update to the lastest version (28.0) and all of the sudden every time I have the Selection Tool or Direct Selection tool chosen to work on and then I click with my Wacom pen on any Shapes, Texts or Images they stick to the pointer and move/drag along with it. The issue only happens with my Wacom Tablet' pen the track pad works fine.

Here are the Specs of my computer:

MacBook Pro: 2021

Operating system: MacOs Ventura 13.6.2

  • System Info:
    • GPU: Apple M1 Max

    • RAM: 32 GB

    • Hard Drive: 1TB

Here are the Specs of my Wacom Tablet:

Wacom Intous BT (2018)
Driver version 6.4.4-5

Please help me I am having so much trouble because I always need to undo when selecting an object, otherwise it will moved from its original place in the artwork.

Here is a video to explain the issue:

Does that also happen without the Wacom?

There have been issues with their driver. Don't know if they have been solved already.

Thanks for answering back @Monika Gause.
The issue is also happening with the Magic Mouse and it is worst than with Wacom Pen, once I click on an object it drags all over the artboard until I click again or press ESC, miss placing its original location. TrackPad works fine.
Just check with a co-worker and she mentioned that her Illustrator (v24) is having the same behavior.

Not quite sure if it is a new update in the latest version, if that is so the update is a bug or a really bad choice made by Adobe dev team!

Here is a video for you to check Magic Mouse behavior:

I'm on Mac OS as well. But no Magic Mouse and no Wacom. I cannot reproduce that behaviour.

Maybe you want to contact Customer Care and have them take a look at it. https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
