Issue with eps and outer glow fx?

Hi there,

so the company I work for uses a white logo with an outer glow effect. 

I've been trying to create an .eps file out of the original .ai file. When I turn off the fx, it works perfectly fine, but whenever I turn on the fx and expand appearance and then save as .eps, the result is simply a white fill box. 

(I've been using inDesign and a colour background to test the .eps files.)

Has anyone ever had similar issues and might be able to help?
