Issue with google drive spreadsheet links

Hey everyone,

I tried to create a button to link to a google spreadsheet, when viewed as a PDF.
i created a text box with the url covering the "spreadsheet button'' and made it transparant, so you're not seeing the actual url, but instead the button.

this to make sure when you click on it, it goes to the url. but somehow the link isn't working.
When i'm pasting the url shared from google directly into the browser it works, but when i copy that link into illustrator and export it as PDF, then clicking on it, it doesn't work. is the pdf doing something with URLS?

How can i fix this?

Where did you put the link, I see no mention of the attribute panel. What did you do? Select your rectangle and change the 2 settings in red.

Make sure preserve Hyperlinks is checked., when exporting your PDF.

Which version are you using? It will only work with some of the latest.

Exactly how do you create the link? There are some hacks being told, which either do not work (in older versions) or are no longer needed (in the newest versions)
