Issue with links changing in Illustrator

We just had a large wall graphic with several placed links - had one of the links change to another in the document. Before we send files to the printer we make a JPG which shows files correctly but the AI file is changed. Anyone have that issue?

Can you share more details? place names etc. I never had an issue with the links panel in Illustrator.

I am sure you packaged it after saving it?

Would you mind sharing more details, like the OS/Illustrator version, whether Illustrator behaves this way with all files or files from a specific folder so I can better assist you?

Hello Anubhav,

 

We are all using the latest Mac OS 15.3.1 - with the latest version of Illustrator. This is the first time (and hopefully only time) this has happened but it was obvious that it was Illustrator. I saw it in the file.
