Issue with the Thonburi Font from OS System Fonts

The Customer I work for uses Thonburi for their Thai language. When using the font in Illustrator 2019, 2020 or 2021 the font displays incorrectly. Illustrator 2018 work fine.

We don't want to remove the font from the system fonts because that could cause more issues.

Has anyone ever come accross this issue and if so, is there a fix.
