Issues with clipping mask

Hello!

I'm creating a digital scratch card in illustrator for a client, but have run into a problem.

The scraper part consists of two separate files (a background and a file with the actual surface to be scraped)

This is how the files are made and exported;

Background = Jpg

Surface with scraping = clipping mask and exported as png

These two files should be able to be placed on top of each other so that they merge with each other.

However, it seems that the clipping mask I create adds or subtracts a pixel because there is a clear line between the two files...(please see attached screenshot)

I feel like I've done everything to get around this problem so would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks in advance!

Can you show a screenshot of the AI files with the artboard selected and the X/Y position visible (in the Control bar or Properties panel)?

Hi! And thank you for answering my question 🙂

Unfortunately, I can't share my AI files, but I have tried to remove all decimals from the X/Y axis (without any success).

Instead, it seems like the issue comes along with the clipping mask itself. I have attached some print screens from when I have placed the clipping mask on another artboard with the same illustrations and positions. I thought the red color would "melt" seamlessly between the layers but there's some kind of strange edge on the clipping mask that I can't get rid of...
its also strange because its only visible on some parts and not all around the clipping mask.

I also tried to export my files and place them on top on each other in PS and I can still see the strange edge/stroke
