JPG export image options no longer saving

Previous versions of Illustrator used to save the value of the JPG export color model and quality slider to the last value set. Now with Illustrator 2017, we have to make sure to change the color model and adjust the slider every single time you export. This is really annoying after a while, especially when you need maximum quality every time you export. I wouldn't complain if the slider defaulted to maximum, but it defaults to the lowest quality. My department head is already giving me a hard time because low quality JPGs keep getting through. This is a bug as far as I'm concerned because the options for compression, resolution and anti-aliasing do save the last used settings, as you can see below. Has anyone found a work around for this?

There are more problems with the jpeg export in CC2017.
