Just lost four hours of work on my Illsutrator file - no recovery.

Question

Of course Illustrator randomly chashes when I am working on a file. I just lost a half a day of work. Unbelievable. No recovery file were made.is there any other way I can get my file back??

Have you made regular saves or backups that have failed?

Crashing is notorious for destroying documents.

To have something to fall back on, it is recommended to save regularly, including saving different versions/names as the work progresses, also in different ways and places.

There is also the free plugin Autosaviour,

as well as other ways automatic ways, at least some of which may present different issues; I believe other friends, including our Adobe friends, can make recommendations.
