Question

Just updated my Illustrator to 30.4 and it keeps quitting on it's own

I open a file I’ve been working on, after I updated my Illustrator to 30.4 and it just quits. If I’ve made any changes it will ask if I want to save, doesn’t give me a chance to cancel and it quits. I get maybe 90 sec of work in and it quits.

Make sure your hardware and OS are compatible with that version of Illustrator.

Thankyou for your response. Now we know that 2 apps are crashing, so the issue is likley not Illustrator itself as you recntly update to   26.5[4] (May 11, 2026). Likely something Global to Mac OS or Adobe install that afecst both apps.

    WACOM

Do you have a wacom driver, if so update.

OOBE RESET MAC  (I have not done with your OS, so please advise if thsi still is same location)

    1. Quit the Creative Cloud desktop app  (100% you must do this)
    2. The \Users\<user folder>\Library\ is hidden by default for macOS 10.7 and above. Option click on the GO in the mac finder to reveal the Library folder.
    3. /Users/<user folder>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    4. Delete all the files within the OOBE folder, but do not delete the folder itself.

    Reinstall App

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner to fully remove your app & prefs then reinstall
