Keep only some capes

Hello!
I got a Illustrator File with some designs made by a professional. Among these designs I would like to extract only some capes (on Illustrator), so that I can adapt the content and at the end save as png. In that case I want to extract the "citation" with all the capes it contains.

you mean «Shapes» right?

click on the little circle next to your sub-layer. This will select all the Shapes on it.

then copy and paste them. Or export «Element» directly as SVG.

Thank you! But I would like to export these shapes as an Illustrator file, so that I can change juste the text for example, and keep the layout and the work made by the designer
