Hello! In Illustrator, I'd like to know how to keep the formatting of a text when I modify its content. This wasn't a problem before, but now whenever I edit text, whether it's in a text box or not, it automatically resets to the default font. It's really frustrating! Is there an option somewhere to check/uncheck? Thanks for the hints!

That is a bug. It's resolved in newer versions, but there are reports that with version 29.2.1 people cannot print.

So you might want to be careful with the update. You can stop the font change by turning off "Missing Glyph protection" i nthe Preferences > Type

when editting the contents of text via scripting you need to use insertion points to add text to maintain text styling. simply altering the contents will cause all of the contents to be reformatted to the same format as the first character.
