Keyboard Arrows don't work on Illustrator 25

I was using Illustrator 24 and recently installed the 25 version, and i simply can't move objects with the arrow key. Changed the keyboard increment and it did nothing. On the 24 version works no problem.

A tutorial said to check the Keyboard Shortcuts to see if the arrow shortcuts were there and to add if they weren't. I checked and there is no arrow shortcut or a way to add it.

I tried a smaller amount and it wasn't working, then I changed to 600pt.

But for some reason started working again. I closed and used the file on the 24 version and now reopenned in 25 and started working again.

600 pt is a very large amount, can you change it to 1 to see if that works?

Good to hear you've got it working again.

Hi @gustavo_7249,

Thanks for sharing the details. I tested this on version 29.8 and the arrow keys worked as expected. Could you confirm if the issue happens in all documents or only certain ones? It would also help to know your OS and the exact Illustrator 2025 version you're running (Help > About Illustrator).

If you haven't already, please try resetting Illustrator preferences and see if that resolves it. If the problem continues, try reproducing it in safe mode and in a new local admin account to rule out third-party software conflicts or account-specific issues. Here are the links for reference:

macOS safe mode: https://adobe.ly/4mFnjND

Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

I gave up and finished the file on the 24 version and now reopenned the same file in 25 to try to reset the preferences to see if it solved the problem and it was already working out of nowhere. Let's hope it stays that way.
