Keyboard Shortcuts in AI hobbled in update

Feature Request: Don't remove long standing features without asking Adobe!

I have a bunch of shortcuts on macOS using the "control" + [a-z] for menu and palette shortcuts.

Well i did until the geniuses at Adobe decided to hobble what is alrready a limited choice of keys. Contorl is no longer an option. InDesign is playing the same kinda takeaway game.

If you are going to override Apples own system wide or application specific keyboard shortcuts framework Adobe, that's fine, just do a better job. Now I have nothing to use for Type Menu> Find Fonts… because a Cmd + T, chars
Cmd + Opt + T, para
Cmd + Shift + T, tabs
Cmd + Opt + Shift + T, OpenType
are all useful to me.

How do Adboe products manage to go backwards over the years with all the money they charge for them? Serif Affinity products, Sketch, DaVinci Resolve etc etc looking better and better by the day with this 🐄🐂💩 Adobe.

On the Mac, I don't remember Ctrl being an option to use to configure in edit shortcuts.

True there are no unused key commands with T in them. Would normally suggest overriding the OpenType shortcut, but you are one of the few who use that.

No use complaining here as the forums are mostly read by users like yourself.

I would suggest posting  in uservoice to open up the Ctrl key in edit shortcut. Keep it short and don't complain to get the best results.

I've given up asking Adobe nicely. They took 3 days to admit a known but subtle bug that was slowly canablising my file in InDesign to me once and provide a way to contiune to work with it (had to regress to previous version and recover lost parts of file along the way). their help desk lead me down the garden path for hours until I demanded it be exculated. Lost a client over it. 😕😕

When was the Ctrl key an option in the editable Keyboard Shortcuts?

Oh yes, I was thinking of InDesign where I have ^T set for "Type Menu> Find/Replace Font…" … been a few weeks since I used either AI or ID, thanks. Sorry for the swears, been using Adobe since the 512K mac came out and I'm really more frustraed than overjoyed to use their products these days.
