Lag and pressure issues with Huion Kamvas 22 tablet (Only in AI 2022)

Lag and pressure issues with Huion Kamvas 22 tablet only occur in AI 2022. AI 2021 performs totally fine, as in all other apps including several painting apps. There is no other instance where it is not working properly.

In the colour sliders when I click and drag a slider handle, first nothing appears to happen then it suddenly jumps to where the stylus is. If I click on the slider bar, the handle will jump there immediately as expected. It is just the click and drag which is not responding as it should.

This happens with all slider controls in palettes. The lag also occurs in other places. 

For example an Astute plugin, Dynamic Sketch, also has problems with lag when drawing and lack of pressure sensitivity. These issues are also not present in Illustrator 2021 while using this plugin.

 

The problem occurs only in Illustrator 2022, and the problem is not present in any other apps including Photoshop and painting apps. In other words it is specific to Illustrator 2022. I have already tried resetting the preferences and reinstalling Illustrator btw.

I have submitted this as a bug, I hope there is a fix. Otherwise I will probably need to use Affinity for anything that requires a tablet. I would prefer to be using Illustrator. Does anybody else own a Kamvas 22 and experience these problems?

Thanks for confirming that, and sorry for the late response. Would you mind trying to update Illustrator to version 26.5 and disabling/uninstalling the plugins temporarily to check if it helps?

Thanks for your response. However that workaround relates to a Huion HS611 (mine is a Kamvas 22) and MacOS (mine is Windows - sorry I didn't include these details) and Illustrator v25.x (as I said this problem only relates to AI v26.x, I pointed out that it is not a problem in 2021, 0nly 2022)

To clarify: the OS is MS Windows 11 Pro 21H2; Huion Firmware: M19t_200716; Huion Driver: v15.6.2.80
