Lag when selecting objects - Mac - 29.01

After the latest update on my Mac Studio M1, I have a problem.

 

Selecting an object takes about 1 second after clicking on it to become selected. If I move the pointer right after selection, the object moves with it.

 

Not sure how to fix it; could it be a bug?

I have made a short screen recording of the problem.

I appreciate any help you can provide.

There you have the reason for your trouble.

 

You can try if just turning off the green button (or is it blue?) in the Magnet options helps. Otherwise you have to turn it off for Illustrator.
