Last 2-3 updates to illustrator crash when selecting fill colour in the appearance palette

Seems like I'm crashing every time I'm working on a document lately. Never seen AI so buggy as it has been lately.

Selecting a fill colour from the appearance palette almost always causes a crash now. Been like this for at least the last 2-3 updates.
