I keep getting this error message and my home page doesn't completely load.

What do I need to do to resolve the issue?

Well, I only have the option of uninstalling or changing it, there is no
repair when I right-click the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
(2012-2017) in the control panel.

Thanks for sharing the details. Would you mind trying the following steps to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and checking if it helps:

- Close all Adobe apps

- Uninstall all currently installed Microsoft Visual C Redistributable packages

- Install the latest Microsoft Visual C Redistributable package from here: (https://adobe.ly/3yWFUBk)

- Relaunch Illustrator
