Library freezes after opening a file for second time or with any file when Illustrator is open

Question

In Illustrator I have a requiring issue with the library which freezes (see screen shot) when I use Illustrator for a second time after launching the program. To use the Library I constantly have to keep quiting and restarting Illustrator.

Is this something that Adobe can rectify? Or have any tips on resolving this issue?

Thank you for sharing the details and the screenshot. Could you please confirm which version of Illustrator and what operating system you are using? Also, does this freeze happen with a particular file, or do you notice the same behavior if you open a different file right after? This will help isolate whether the issue is file‑specific.

I tested this on my end but was not able to reproduce the freeze. I'd recommend first signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app and signing back in to see if that clears the issue. If it is still not resolved, would you mind trying the following steps and checking if it helps?

• Close all Adobe applications
• Remove the Creative Cloud Desktop application, CCLibrary, and CoreSync using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://adobe.ly/4mkYJCc)
• Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application (https://adobe.ly/43fQrCS)
• Relaunch Illustrator

If the problem persists, please try running Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and share your observations. Also, if possible, a short screen recording demonstrating the issue would be very helpful for us to check further.
