Library Panel becomes a static image that is skewable

Thanks for sharing the screenshot and issue, this seems to be a known bug involving the Creative Cloud Libraries panel, and your description matches a UI freeze or rendering glitch affecting the Libraries integration in Illustrator and InDesign.

What’s happening behind the scenes is that the Libraries panel is a mini web interface inside Illustrator (and InDesign too). When it crashes or stalls, you’re basically left looking at a frozen snapshot of the last frame, hence the strange stretching and lack of interaction.

Here are a few things that usually help get it back on track:

1. Sign out and back into Creative Cloud
This often refreshes the Libraries connection:

• Quit all Adobe apps
• Sign out of the Creative Cloud Desktop app
• Restart your computer
• Sign back in and open Illustrator again

2. Clear the Creative Cloud Libraries cache
If the sync data has gone wonky, this can reset things:

• On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync
• On Windows: C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync
• Delete (or move) the data folder
• Then restart Illustrator

3. Temporarily turn off GPU Performance
Just as a test, since GPU rendering can interfere with panels like this:

• Go to Illustrator > Preferences > Performance
• Uncheck GPU Performance, then restart

4. Use the Libraries tab in the Creative Cloud Desktop App
Not ideal, but it lets you access your assets while Illustrator is misbehaving. You can drag and drop items directly from there.

If it keeps happening, there are some deeper options, like resetting Illustrator’s preferences or reinstalling the Libraries component using Adobe’s Cleaner Tool, but I’d suggest trying the gentler fixes above first. They often do the trick without disrupting your whole setup.
