Line Extension not working although smart guides are on

Hello,
I updated my Illustrator to the 2025 version and I noticed that the line extension feature is not working.

My smart guides are turned on.

It is really frustrating because it is one of the most important features when working with paths in my opionion. 

I hope this issue will be fixes soon!

    I just updated to 29.1 and it appears to be working again! Thank you!

    I am sorry to hear about your experience. Our team has tried fixing this in the latest Illustrator Pre-Release 29.0.1.192. Would you mind installing it to check if it helps resolve the problem?

      Currently there is none. Upvote the Uservoice bug report to stay informed about the status.
