I drew a whole bunch of line segments through this leaf illustration, but they are not the right shape at the ends and some stick out too far or are too short. If I bring them right to the edge of the leaf, they don't look right because they are square shaped. Any advice on how to trim them so they match the edges of the leaf?

    Group all of your inside lines. Move the leaf outline to the top, then select the leaf and the lines. Object > Clipping Path > Make. 

    After you do this, you will have to add the color back to your leaf.
