Line, transformed with Twist Effect outputs unwanted corners

Hi Community,

 

I wanted to create a consistent wave with the help of the Twist effect. But as shown, it creates unwanted disturbance. What am I doing wrong here? Any settings off/on? Thank you.

There's not a lot you can do about that, but clean up afterwards. Simplify the path or use the Smart Eraser of the plugin VectorScribe.

And also report it to http://illustrator.uservoice.com , so the developers get an indication of what needs to be fixed.
