Links not updating

I'm finding that, if I place a link into Ai, it doesn't detect when the file has changed.

I have to place the file in again in order to update it.

Also, if I move the file to a different location, Ai doesn't pick up on it? Normally I would get a 'broken link' icon but not anymore.

Thanks but I realised in the end that the 'Link' box was unchecked when placing the file, so I think it was embedding everything rather than linking

Hi, one tip is to make a folder for everything and put files in that so Ai will remember to check it first...regards
