Looking for a graphics tablet that doesn't start drawing until stylus touches surface

I'm looking for a graphics tablet with a wireless stylus that doesn't start drawing until the stylus actually touches the surface.

What I want is a tablet that reacts exactly like a pencil.  Move it 1/1000 of a millimeter above the surface, and no dot or line...  touch the surface and you get a dot or line... press harder you get a denser line.

I've owned several in the past, and each one of them started making marks while the stylus was above the surface of the tablet.   I last checked a couple of years ago, and at that time, Wacom told me that all of their styluses would start reacting with the tablet a millimeter or more above the tablet surface.

Any recommendations?

On Wacom tablets, the movement is recorded, but the stylus does not paint or draw until you touch the surface.

Do you mean the cursor starts moving, but no line is made until you touch the surface?

Maybe that's what keeps throwing me off.   I don't want the cursor to move until it actually starts making a line.

Yes.

I think the tablet you are looking for does not exist. Almost all manufacturers use Magnetic Induction, and this technology requires a space to calculate when the stylus moves or touches the surface.
