Lost a version of a file

I was in the process of making a vector, and left the app, however after coming back, it reverted my version to a older one. I was trying to find it in archive and the deleted files, however, it is lost. I am using iOS version.

Hi @neal_2184,

I'm really sorry to hear that you lost your recent work. Adding to what experts suggested, could you please confirm if the file was saved as a cloud document or stored locally on your iPad? If it was saved to the cloud, try signing in to the Creative Cloud web app (https://adobe.ly/4ogQk2u) and check if an older version or autosaved copy appears there. If it was saved locally, please verify through the Files app on your iPad if any backup version exists.

Let me know how it goes.

@neal_2184 On the iOS version of Illustrator, autosave and version history can be limited on the iPad compared to the desktop experience, especially if the file wasn’t saved to the cloud or synced properly before you exited the app. If it was stored locally or the app closed unexpectedly, it’s possible the latest version didn’t get preserved. Unfortunately, if it’s not showing up in your archive or deleted files, it may not be recoverable. Doble-check if you’re using Creative Cloud, it might be worth checking your cloud documents from another device or browser just in case a version was synced.
