MAC M1 Shortcuts not working

Hi, im using an IMac M1 and my shortcuts are not working not can i change them, what is going on i cant undo nor can i assign command z as undo. When clicking the cmd button wont register but the z will? Tried restarting, tried reinstalling, its just not working, what do i do.

    Did you already reset the preferences?

     

    Also: there are applications that intercept shortcuts. You might want to shutdown everything else. Browsers do this as well, unfortunately as well as a couple other apps.
