Crop mark effect has been part of illustrator for over a decade, but it seems like no one has bothered to actually make it functional. Please adobe, spend 5 mins on this.

As a print designers it is something we use all the time.

Basic functions such as:

- distance away from object (Bleed, 3mm default in Metric, .125" in imperial)

- thickness of crop mark (default should be .25pt)

- and most importantly length of crop mark. (3mm default in Metric, .125" in imperial)

I mean literally all you have to do is add 3 input fields to the crop mark effect.

Also the crop mark should not be affected by any effect or stroke, just the dimensions of the object that the crop is being attached to.

Right now the crop mark, is like 12.7mm long? Who uses a 12.7mm long crop mark? (and 4.35mm bleed)

Pleease, pretty please...... pretty please!
