Making a new brush to utilize a group into making letters

Hi all,

I am working on a major school project, and need to make letters for it. However, I am having problems making them with the material I want to use. I am trying to make letters out of barbed wire.

I am trying to make a letter out of one solid piece of barbed wire, much like it would be bent realistically. Trying to draw it in one solid piece is inconsistent in scale and sizing.

I want to try to take a single piece of the wire and create a repeating pattern stroke that seamlessly connects and makes smooth corners. I have tried to build one, but I cannot seem to fill the gap between wire parts. Now if there is an alternative option to being able to do such with ease, please do let me know.

Thanks for any assistance!

    Your brush doesn't repeat seamlessly.
