Making logo into a 3D cube

Is it possible to manipulate a square logo into a 3D cube shape in Illustrator? I've tried using the free transform tool and a couple of other features without much success. I can make the sides of the box, but I'm having trouble with the "lid" portion. See visual below for a rough idea of what I'm trying to achieve. Perhaps this is something better suited for Photoshop? Thanks for your help!

Yes you can do this in Illustrator - take a square and apply 3D extrude and bevel and set the appropriate extrude depth. Make sure to first make the logos into symbols and then you can map art onto the sides of your cube.
