Mapping Text onto Multiple Surfaces

I've got this hot air balloon shape and I'd like some text to go across it. I've got no trouble with wrapping text in general, but the top and sides of this shape are assigned to separate "surfaces". In the screenshot, the red wireframe is one surface and the text is currently mapped to the other. How can I get a piece of text to wrap across both the top and sides?

The important thing here are the correct anchor points. Where the two faces neighbour each other, could be a corner point in your base shape. Try and convert that to a smooth point.

That was exactly it, thanks. I used an ellipse to make the top part, which meant that the bottom part had a straight line across the top with corners on both ends. But now I've got a new problem. My text is appearing upside down. I can rotate the text to be upside down as well, but then it's backwards. What's up here?

Are you perhaps applying it to the back side? That is a bug.
