Measurements (from tool) don't match object dimensions.

In this file, the vertical measurement should be 10.75 inches.  That is the correct dimension of the rectangle height.  Why doesn't my measurement (from the measurement tool) match it?  It is reading 10.69 inches.

When I click on the rectangle path I can see that the lower left hand corner is not matching the nodes.

How do I fix this?

Correct answer Ton Frederiks

Looks like your rectangle is skewed somehow. Create a new 16 x 10.75 inches rectangle, paste it behind your current one. Also check the constrain angle in your preferences.

If you want to have someone look at your file, you m,ay want to attach the file here. currently your file is not accessible.

Mke sure you save the file local as .ai, then rename it first from.ai to .pdf before attaching.

Does sharing .ai files from the web application not work?  I have attached the pdf here.  TU.

No  that sharing needs a request for edit access. But this works, thanks  I'll have a look.
