Metal View in Plugin Panel

Hi,

does anyone know if it is possible to have a metal view in the plugin panel's view?

I was able to add a NSView as a subview of the panel. Buttons and Text are displayed correctly, but the metal view doesn't update its content although the render callback is being called.

I'm new to plugin and metal development so I might miss something obvious.
