Mirror/Isolation Mode Interface ???

I'm having issues with Mirror/Isolation mode -which I am new to.

I used pen tool to create a graphic using the Mirror feature. Worked as expected. After I saved the file, I can no longer Edit or even select the drawn graphic. I am on the selected layer, which is visible,  but can't select or edit any of the vector points. I exited then re-entered "Isolation Mode" -no change. Not really an intuitive interface in this mode. (illustrator 29.5.1 - Mac). Nit sure what I did to disable editing with this. Just simple vector lines in a single layer.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Thank you -that did it!

But Gotta say, this is probably the least intuitve set of features I've ever used in Ai. Don't really understand why it has to differ so much from standard pen tool interface. And yes, I get that the mirroring adds a dimension.

What happens if you select the object, right click it to open the context-sensitive menu and choose "Isolate Selected Object (Repeat)"?

Yes, that's a valid note.

To make it a bit easier, you may have a look at the general application preferences where you can enable an option called "Double Click To Isolate".

Or you can assign a custom keyboard shortcut to enter Isolation mode in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog. I use the " 1 " key.
